Typography is the art of presenting written information. Well designed typography can add meaning and impact to a text. Using typography a designer can make a text flow easily for the reader or command attention and surprise the reader. A well designed text can convey a rich emotional message from anger and agression to peace and calm. In fact the message carried by the typographic style is visually more powerful than that of the text, and can be used to support the text or modify the viewer's reaction to what is written.

In this graphic the typography can be seen to modify significantly the way the viewer reacts the text.

There is the need to add a bit of information on fonts and perhaps the history of typography? How styles of lettering have changed over the centuries? What is a font?
