Saul Bass

Saul Bass (Born May 8th, 1920) was a prominent American Graphic Designer in the middle of the 20th century.

Through his life, he has done many different promotional posters for movies, including The Man with the Golden Arm, Vertigo and The Shining. While his work as a prominent Graphic Designer bought him his fame, he was also asked by many directors to film and storyboard many different scenes in various movies. These movies include Spartacus (1960), Grand Prix (1966) and West Side Story (1961). Although his first works were little more than print advertisements for films. He was also cast as a title designer for many of the movies he created posters for.

He has even filmed his own feature-length film, a little known, science fiction work called Phase IV in 1974.
